On February 4, 2020, the Rosebud Sioux Tribal Council adopted Resolution no. 2020-32 authorizing the Rosebud Sioux Tribal Hemp Commission (Hemp Commission). The Hemp Commission regulates hemp production on the Rosebud Indian Reservation according to the RST hemp regulations which were approved by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA). Applicants also are subject to tribal land use provisions under Title 18 and environmental provisions under Title 19 of Rosebud Sioux Law.
